Key success stories
Energy - with our intervention has seen our principal partners CDEN move into Uganda to start work on an $120m Pumped Solar Hydro project the first one of its kind in Africa. We are also close to start developing a 240mw solar project and a 30mw project in Kenya is to start by 2016.
Griffin provided all the development capital to Thames Pictures Ltd for the production of the award winning documentary - INVISIBLE PICTURE SHOW. The film won the Guardian Media One awards 2013, and was Runner up at the Sheffield Documentary Awards. The film co-produced with Amnesty International is now being used by Human Rights advocates to change policy on child detention.
Griffin through its Kenya based subsidiary partly financed one of the largest Group Litigation action out of the UK. The litigation is ongoing in the UK high court.
